The directionality problem is solved for one or two stitches but is not remembered.

Score

The tentative score is ACL 5.0.

Verify ability to use a visual pattern in the copying activity - Design C and diamond colouring activity.

Instructions

Requires a demonstration with verbal instructions and samples to match.

Sample

Uses the sample briefly but may not follow it preferring to use their own design as this requires less mental energy.

Neuromuscular Adjustments

Uses neuromuscular adjustment to maintain an up and down tapping action as shown in the demonstration. They spontaneously vary the angle of the brush.

Score

The tentative score is ACL 5.0.

The kite design is completed without constant referral back to the sample. They can place down a few pieces correctly before needing to refer back to the sample.

Score

The tentative score is ACL 5.0.

Reading alone does not provide enough information. They will require verbal instructions for less complex steps. For more complex steps requiring problem solving, they will require a few demonstrations.

In order to form the correct mental image of what they need to do to arrange the triangles on the fabric and Heat n' Bond materials, they will require a few demonstrations.

The person can follow a demonstration of cutting a triangle piece using the template, pealing the paper backing on the Heat n' Bond and ironing the pieces into place.

Storing an image in short-term memory is indicated by studying the sample and never or rarely referring to it later (requires more observations). While colouring, their movements are fluid and continuous.

Organising a method of colouring requires the recognition of adjacent triangles that are the same colour. Colouring across triangle lines in red and yellow is observed.

Use Design C from the copying activity to confirm or rule out ACL 5.0.

The tentative score is ACL 5.0.

They see the pattern and stop looking at the sample. Spacing is inconsistent.

When using Design D, they may mix up the green, purple or blue colours. The picture above shows one possibility of mixing the colours up.

This is a surface appearance error.

The tentative score is ACL 5.0.

Completes the design by referring to the sample less than seven times. They see the pattern and stop looking at the sample.

The tentative score is ACL 5.0.

Improvement is observed in the quality of the effects produced, but the same action must be repeated enough times to provide the opportunity to display improvement. The primary effect happens first and immediately. The effect is perceivable in the visual pattern that captures the person's attention.
