The ability to hold an image in long term memory and repeated comparisons with the sample results in the ability to pay attention to subtle differences.

See if the person can see other subtle differences such as dust on surfaces, greasy residue on poorly washed items or slippery shiny surfaces.

Reading alone does not provide enough information. They will require verbal instructions for less complex steps. For more complex steps requiring problem solving, they will require a demonstration.

In order to form the correct mental image of what they need to do to arrange the triangles on the fabric and Heat n' Bond materials, they will require a few demonstrations.

The person can follow a demonstration of cutting a triangle piece using the template, pealing the paper backing on the Heat n' Bond and ironing the pieces into place.

They do not mix up the green, purple or blue colours.

Try the peanut butter or shading activity to differentiate between ACL 5.0 and 5.2.

Improvement is observed in the quality of the effects produced, but the same action must be repeated enough to times to provide the opportunity to display improvement. The primary effect happens first and immediately. The effect is perceivable on the surface appearances that captures the person's attention.
