Sensory information is very calming for someone functioning in ACL 4 Low. Sensory information may be directly focused on and allows them to use their mental energy. Bold striking features are what captures a person's attention in ACL 4 Low. Having easy access to supplies for sensory information is important for the person.

Movement information is restricted to bold obvious movements. Their fine motor activities are limited. We have learnt that larger items work better with people functioning within ACL 4 Low over the years.

General movement from location to location is pleasant to the person. They do have a limited awareness to where they are. It takes them time to settle in and learn a new location.

The concept of a line assists the person in completing a goal. The activity is a general aim or purpose. The standard of performance varies within ACL 4 Low. In ACL 4.0 the standard is drawn from the person's long-term memory. The sample maybe referred to only once in the beginning or when they are prompted. In ACL 4.2, only one linear information is used at a time usually either the vertical or horizontal line at a time. In ACL 4.4, the person can use linear information of horizontal and vertical information at a time. The person needs to constantly match to the sample.

Classification is the grouping of information to allow a person to achieve a goal or set purpose. The concept of an activity classifies at least three actions into a sequence of steps that produce an intentional goal. The concept of an activity enters the ACL scale in ACL 4.0.

Being able to classify or group actions to achieve a goal enters the scale in ACL 4 Low. Routine self-care and household duties and other simple activities are paid attention to. The person pays attention to striking cues of color, shape, size, number of items (up to 4), and linear information. Their processing speed is slow as they have to constantly refer to the sample. Classification, linear, movement and sensory information can be used by the person to match to a sample either from their procedural memory or the sample.

Familiar landmarks are recognized and reassure the person that they know where they are and where they are going.

Within ACL 4 Low, they may forget where they are going but recognize a location along the way or when they get there.

A person in good physical condition may walk for hours without picking their head up and looking around at any landmarks until they stop.

When the position of their head is down and their hair is not combed in back, their sense of space is limited to the front of their body. What is happening on their back or behind them does not capture their attention.

The regular schedules of self-care and interesting actions requires initiation and prompting by a caregiver. The sense of time is organization by the sequence, which is recognized and contributes to the formation of a sense of security. When the next event happens as usual, the person is reassured. Irregularities and nothing to do for hours may be connected to troublesome behaviors.
