ACL 4.6 marks the beginning of freedom of choice, but it can become the right to refuse to conform with anything, including the law. In the benign form, the person asks permission to do something different than the sample. When a mistake has been made in their project and the authority figure asks "Is yours like mine?" The right to say "I like it like that" can be expressed. With coercion, the right to justify a departure from the standard of performance becomes a right to refuse to conform to all standards of performance.
