Within ACL 5 Low, they may learn to use extended bath aids to clean back and feet, with standby / minimum assistance to remember safety precautions, attend to unseen surface / spatial properties (e.g., dirt between toes, area on back), and assisting with bathing areas that require persistence with tedious adjustments (depending on level of physical disability). They may fail to anticipate secondary effects or intangible properties of new products (e.g., allergies to soaps, using lotions that are incompatible with elastic pressure garments).

The ability to use neuromuscular action to allow the person to produce a smooth movement results in a quicker and more effective ability to dress themselves. In ACL 5.2, they are able to notice surface appearances like stains which may not have completely washed out of cleaned clothing. In ACL 5.4, poor fitting clothing is noticed and the need to buy new clothing for growing teenagers is understood and complied with.

These predictions should only be treated as a suggestion. There are many confounding factors which often skew these predictions. Factors which often affect predictions are a person's procedural memory, individual differences, physical abilities, age of onset and variation in the support provided by carers.

The person can use their senses to pay attention to finer levels of sensory information. The person is able to appreciate more subtle sensations. Their ability to store this information in their short-term memory which can last from an hour to a week allows the person to make improvements and achieve their desired result.

The person's ability to use movement information is more refined. Actions are not on or off. Gradients of motion maybe used. The person can gently turn on the tap to allow the right pressure of water to fill up a cup without it splashing everywhere. The person can use levers like a screwdriver to pry off a paint lid.

The person can only use two pieces of linear information at a time. The level of sensitivity in the linear information is however more refined than in ACL 4, resulting in a better ability to place objects more accurately.

Classification is the grouping of information to allow the person to achieve a goal or set purpose. The hypothesis is that because the person has enough mental energy to store information in their short-term memory from an hour to a week or so, they can learn to make improvements when they are classifying information.
