- Start the whip stitch here.
- Insert the end from the back to front and leave a 1.5 inch (4 cm) tail.
- Tie an overhand knot so that the tail points away from subsequent stitches.
- Make a whip stitch by pushing the tip through the next hole from front to back.
- Make three whip stitches.
