Decision Body
During the activity, many mistakes are repeated and may not be corrected or prevented. Simple mistakes include: inadequate taping on scrap pieces of paper to achieve a dry brush effect; and/or drops of paint left behind or smeared with seepage under the stencil (ACL 5.0).
After making a surface property mistake (e.g. smudges, too much paint on the brush or seepage under the stencil), evidence of preventing the same mistake is observed (ACL 5.2).
The placement of the stencil is aligned with the card and other selected parts of the stencil. The angle of the brush is held in a vertical position (ACL 5.4).
Practices different effects on scrap pieces of paper. May forget to clean one side of stencil before turning it over to make a reverse image (ACL 5.6).
Practices laying out their design on a scrap piece of paper. Avoids wet surfaces (ACL 5.8).
