Reading instructions is the big functional change that happens within ACL 4.8.
Self-awareness of the possibility of making a mistake is also a distinguishing characteristic of ACL 4.8. They are able to inhibit their actions and seek assistance before they act. One rarely observes impulsive, uninhibited behaviour within ACL 4.8, but it is observed fairly often within ACL 4.6.
With visual spatial problems, the person perceives the need to use three-dimensional lines (vertical, horizontal and height) but is unable to use the third dimension successfully. They fall back on using rigid steps that they can recall. Finer details like the sequence for tightening the lace are neglected.
The rest of their attention is limited to lower level striking features.
