They can lean forward on the count of three to cooperate with personal hygiene; physical assistance to sustain leaning forward may be necessary.

Getting the person to stay near the showering area is a challenge. Encourage use of a stable shower chair or mobile shower commode chair if the person is at risk of falls in very slippery environments.
