Verbal communication includes expressions of personal preferences in striking cues and making requests for changes. Their conversations have more depth than ACL 4.4 because they are able to bring their inner private life to current plans, choices, and decisions.

Their awareness of other people includes a capacity to distinguish between normal and abnormal psychology and comment that other people are different or inferior. They may have theories about fortune / misfortunes, disease and illness.

For their own cognitive disability, they may be able to state an opinion about how the medications are affecting their ability to do activities.

The person learns by watching a demonstration, not reading. When they attempt to read short, simple instructions with pictures, they usually stop reading and say that reading the instructions is too hard. The alternative they often pursue is to ignore written directions and diagrams and ask for a demonstration or frequent explanations.
