Within ACL 5 High, the person can complete routine housekeeping and home maintenance tasks. They are able to solve problems involving secondary consequences of tangible properties. In ACL 5.6, secondary consequences of surface appearance are attended to. In ACL 5.8, they also pay attention to secondary consequences of spatial fit. They will require assistance solving problems involving abstract concepts like heat, electrical currents, toxins and the feelings of other people.

Within ACL 5, they are able to effectively vary range of motion and strength while sweeping, mopping, polishing, cleaning to produce better results without assistance. In ACL 5 High, new sequence of actions (how to use a new product) may be learnt via verbal and written instructions.

Within ACL 5 High, the person can change pace to suit the situation. They may set and follow a weekly schedule of housekeeping activities and adhere to it though there will be individual differences.

They are able to remember to complete essential housekeeping tasks as needed.

They will understand explanations of secondary effects to be considered for safety reasons (e.g. adequate ventilation with toxic cleaning agents, combustible potential of chemical combinations, storing toxins away from food items, etc.).

Within ACL 5.8, the person may organize cupboards and drawers for most efficient object retrieval.

Provide warning signs for power tools, highly flammable items, toxins, cutting tools (knives, saw, shovel), and hot tools (iron, glue gun, stove).
