Classification is the grouping of information to allow a person achieve a group or set purpose. Within ACL 4.6 the person can store this classification for up to a few seconds. The ability to see classification for a few seconds means the person can overlap images and will search for items in well know location.
The ability to keep checking to the sample until the person is done is the differentiation between ACL 4.6 and 4.8. The mental energy to do all of the comparisons seems to be available within ACL 4.8. The effort to sustain their attention is noticeable during their slow, persistent process. They often resist stopping, no matter what else is going on. Sustained attention time while doing the same activity could be a good differential between ACL 4.6 and 4.8. The diamond coloring activity is a good standardized activity for measuring the person's ability to keep referring to the sample. More activity will be required in the near future.
