ACL 4 High: Sense of Doing an Activity by Comparing Mental Images

By Anonymous (not verified), 5 March, 2025

Within ACL 4 High, they are able to store an image in their working memory where the information is available for their use for just a few seconds. Repeated use like drilling or compensatory techniques such as checklists are required for the person to store this information in their long-term memory. Otherwise the information is not easily retrieved. The information will need to be reinforced on a regular basis.

The person is able to convert a few additional qualities of information as mental images. These images are used to compare their project with the sample. The images are retained in working memory for a few seconds and not stored into long-term memories.

The person can make a choice about whether or not they wish to comply with the sample. Comparisons with the sample are made to guide their actions and correct errors in the striking features, but descriptions of errors are rarely expressed in words, even when they are looking at them. The meaning of mistakes as a sign of a cognitive disability never enters their mind when it is pointed out. A blank stare is the usual response.
