What Makes Sense

The person pays attention to where their body is in space. They may assist caregivers with rolling over when they feel the moving sensation. The person has enough mental energy to be aware of gravity's effects on their body.

The person is aware of another person who is providing care. While being taken care of, the person has a sense of helping the caregiver, which does make taking care of them easier.

A sense of comfort is formed while rocking and being outside during pleasant weather conditions. Sitting outside in any weather condition is appreciated by some people. The effects of forming these positive senses should last for several hours and prevent signs of distress.

After a pleasant session of sensory stimulation, signs of distress should not be observed for several hours.

A few responses to sensations are repeated, mostly in response to food they dislike, i.e. thrusting it all out with their tongue. Getting rid of the food makes sense to them.

The increased ability to pay attention to sensory and movement information results in an individual who can start participating with self-care tasks.
