Introduce yourself and say:

• Start the single cordovan stitch here.

• Insert the tip from the back to front and leave a 1.5 inch (4 cm) tail.

Left & Right Handed

Over the years we have learned that people do not pay any attention to which hand you use. At this point, you may use either hand to administer the activity.

Seating

The ideal seating situation for stitching is:

• Two chairs placed at a slight angle. If you are right handed, sit on the right. If you are left handed, sit on the left.
• Hold the tool in front of the person and demonstrate the stitches.

Materials Ready to Go

Establish a habit of cleaning and disinfecting all materials after use.

When materials need to be replaced, do so immediately.

A plastic stitching tool with vinyl lacing is included in the ACLS-6 kit.

The front of the tool is blank and the back has an ACDMweb sticker.

The stitches are made in a clockwise direction.

The red side of the lace is the front side and should be visible. Avoid twists.

The stitching activity is used to differentiate between ACL 3.0 to ACL 5.8.
